Bithionol is indicated for treatment of tapeworms (Moniezia, Thysanosoma), infestations by gastro-intestinal nematodes (Paramphistomum) and liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica, Fasciola magna) in cattle, sheep and goats.

COMPOSITION:
Bithionol sulfoxide.....................................................2 g
Excipients .............................................................2.5 g

INDICATIONS:
Bithionol is indicated for treatment of tapeworms (Moniezia, Thysanosoma), infestations by gastro-intestinal nematodes (Paramphistomum) and liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica, Fasciola magna) in cattle, sheep and goats.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
Oral administration: 1 bolus per 50 kg body weight.
Following to treatment, the appetite may decrease. The diet does not need not to be adjusted.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer Levaphen to animals with severe renal and/or hepatic impairment.
Do not use in highly stressed or unhealthy animals.
Animals should not be treated within 14 days before or after treatment with organophosphorus compounds.

USE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
Bithionol sulfoxide can be administered to females during pregnancy and lactation.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:
Do not administer another anthelmintic at the same time as Bithionol sulfoxide.
It is advised to treat only animals vaccinated for enterotoxemia.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Following to treatment, a severe transient diarrhoea may occur.
Photo-sensibilization may occur 24 - 48 hours after treatment. Animals should be placed in the shadow.

Storage:
Store below 30℃, protect from light.
